Kanye West – now officially known as Ye – has given up on trying to play it cool, as he is now literally begging Kim Kardashian to take him back. Ye made the emotional plea to his 41-year-old estranged wife (who is now officially dating 28-year-old SNL comedian Pete Davidson) in front of the 70,000 people who attended the “Free Larry Hoover” benefit concert at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum on Thursday, December 9th, which was also livestreamed on Amazon Prime Video.
The 44-year-old rapper and fashion designer performed many songs from his latest album, as well as some old classics, including “Runaway” from his 2010 album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” which he added some fresh lyrics to in order get his message to Kim across. “I need you to run right back to me. More specifically, Kimberly,” he rapped several times.
The internet was quick to react to Ye's adlibs, as "Kimberly" was trending on Twitter quite soon after the performance. "Not @kanyewest asking @KimKardashian publicly to come back to him," one Twitter user wrote. "When Kanye said 'More specifically Kimberly'," another Twitter user added, alongside a GIF of Kylie Jenner patting away tears from her eyes. The GIF game was strong on Twitter, with another fan writing, "when you runaway make sure you run back to me.. more specifically….. Kimberly," alongside a GIF of Pikachu crying.
Ye's latest attempts to win Kim back come just two weeks after his Thanksgiving Prayer, in which he confessed to his "misactions" and essentially said he would do whatever it took to get his family back. Interestingly, the concert was actually attended by Kim and their two eldest children, North and Saint, as well as Kim's half sis Kendall Jenner and her boyfriend, Devin Booker. However, it doesn’t look like Ye's pleas worked. In fact, they may have had the complete opposite effect on the SKIMS founder, as just one day later, Kim took legal action to try and declare herself legally single, while also requesting to drop West from her last name. Ouch!
