Most of the world seems to love the unexpected Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson relationship, but Kanye West (now formally and officially known as Ye) is definitely not on that list. Despite trying to move on from his estranged wife – most notably with Irina Shayk and reportedly now with 22-year-old model Vinetria – the 44-year-old rapper and fashion designer has made no secrets of the fact that he wants Kim back. And in true Ye style, has not stopped talking about it!
In a five-minute-long “Thanksgiving Prayer” video, which Ye posted to social media on Thursday, November 25th, the “Off The Grid” rapper spoke about how he wants to get back together with Kim, and noted how he wants to take accountability for his past actions. Speaking over a video of a choir singing, he referenced how his support of Donald Trump and his own 2020 presidential campaign put a strain on their marriage, and also noted how his drinking, his temper, and even his spending habits contributed to their split. Ye said that he thinks about “how I get my family back together” in reference to Kim and their four children – North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2 – every single day, as well as “how I heal the pain that I’ve caused.”

Ye’s Thanksgiving prayer began: “I take accountability for my actions. New word alert: misactions. The one thing that all my successes and failures have in common is me.” In reference to his drinking and his temper, the latter of which he confessed came as a result of the aforementioned drinking, Ye said: “I would drink to take the stress away, to knock the edge off. Drinking affected my health and the health of people around me. Because I already had a hair trigger temper and this just heightened it.”
“I know none of y’all would ever picture this, but sometimes I scream and that screaming might have helped me tell off everyone who doubted me in music, but that screaming did not help me keep my family together,” he confessed, in relation to his temper.
Ye also referenced his manic episodes back in 2016, saying: "I was placed under heavy medication. Since then, I went on and off the medication which left me susceptible to other episodes, which my wife and family and fans have had to endure."
And speaking of his wife and family, he referenced them several times during his prayer, noting how the 41-year-old SKIMS founder really didn’t like his public support of Trump and wearing the 'Make America Great Again' hat, and only supported his own presidential campaign because she was a "good wife." In relation to his MAGA hat and his Trump support, he said: "Good lord, my wife did not like me wearing the red hat."
"Being a good wife, she just wanted to protect me and our family. I made me and our family a target by not aligning with Hollywood's political stance, and that was hard for our marriage," he continued. "Then I ran for president without proper preparation and no allies on either side. I embarrassed my wife in the way that I presented information about our family during the one and, thank God, only press conference."
Ye finished off the prayer by saying what he is grateful for; i.e., the family that his "wife" has given him, and the life that "God" has given him. He concluded: "I've had giant entourages, people around me just to make me feel good about myself. I've had to learn that I had to take accountability. We always judge and tell other people what they should do, but we can only take accountability for ourselves and our children. This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for the family that my wife has given me. I'm thankful for the life that God has given me and I'm thankful for your time, attention and patience. In Jesus' name, amen."
