Fans Think Kate Beckinsale Looks Unrecognizable at Variety’s 2024 Power of Women Event
Upon seeing her on the red carpet at the Variety event last month in a pink mini dress, fans expressed on TikTok the recent wave of women in Hollywood who are looking completely unrecognizable and aging backwards.
“To all the girlies reading, please know it’s okay to age. It’s happening every day. Getting older doesn’t define you. Embrace it,” said one fan.
“Kate Beckinsale was absolutely beautiful in the Serendipity movie. I don’t recognize her here.”
“I audibly gasped when I realized this was Kate Beckinsale. She looks unrecognizable. I hope she’s well.”
Beckinsale previously said that her weight loss is due to a tear in her esophagus that came in the way of eating normally. The loss of her stepfather further impacted her overall health.
Dr. Dennis Schimpf, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Charleston, South Carolina, told DailyMail, “Current pictures of her clearly show a dramatic weight loss and loss of a dramatic amount of subcutaneous fat. She has good cheek fullness, as well as lip fullness, which I would think is a result of a filler or fat grafting. Given her lack of fat, I would guess fillers are more likely the cause.”
On top of that, Dr. Gary Motykie, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, told the publication that “at 51, it’s unlikely that non-invasive methods like microneedling or lasers alone would fully restore the natural fullness seen in her younger years, giving rise to some suspicion of filler due to her lips’ ‘poofy’ look.”
