While the likes of Cate Blanchett, Angela Bassett, and Brooke Shields attended Time‘s Women of the Year Gala, others such as Kate Hudson stripped down to their swimsuits to take a plunge in an ice-cold bath to share an inspirational message for women.

Kate Hudson Rocks Plunging Black Swimsuit In International Women’s Day Instagram Video
The 43-year-old Glass Onion actress shared a fun slow-motion video to the tune of “Ball and Biscuit” by the White Stripes of herself and her friend Angi Greene laughing as they got in and out of an ice cold bath tub with messy hair and no makeup while wearing black swimsuits (although technically Angi is wearing a two-piece bikini!) on International Women’s Day.
The Fool’s Gold star captioned the video: “How you love. How you nurture. How you laugh. How you hold space. How you inspire. How you take the plunge together! Gets us through it all. Happy International Women’s Day to all the women in my life that inspire me daily!” Okay, we now see how this video relates to International Women’s Day!
And while the bath the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress was ice cold, the plunging black swimsuit she wore for the video was anything but, as it's one of the hottest onepieces we think we’ve ever seen! We regularly say that onepieces can sometimes be even sexier than teeny tiny two-piece bikinis, and this is yet another example that proves us right!
The black socks that Kate is wearing, for anyone wondering, seem to be less of a styling choice and more of a comfort choice, as wearing socks in an ice cold bath apparently helps with the discomfort of the cold. You learn something new everyday!

Although some fans were hilariously a little confused by the video, the majority of Kate's 16.7M Instagram followers loved the video, and took to the comments section to praise her for not just her swimsuit, but her inspirational and empowering message! "That bathing suit," one fan commented, followed by a bathing suit emoji and a fire emoji. "That’s an ad for a one piece!" said another. "Love this! And the song was such a good choice," wrote another fan, followed by the pink heart emoji. "Girl power," raved another, while another called them "empowered women," and another said Kate was "an inspiration."
"That really made me smile – thank you," one fan wrote. "Angie & Kate!! It doesn’t get any better!" exclaimed another, followed by the fire, hand praising, and red heart emojis. "Love seeing women having fun with other women. So anyone saying this isn’t supporting women’s day I disagree. These are two friends enjoying themselves together. It’s fun. Its joyous.
