Kate Hudson got candid about her family situation on the “Sibling Revelry” podcast that she co-hosts with brother Oliver Hudson. Though the siblings are very close, Kate admitted that their happy family was not necessarily complete, referencing their estranged siblings.
During their conversation, Kate admitted that she thought it would be “nice” to get in touch with their other siblings.

Kate and Oliver have a strained relationship with their father, but it seems like Kate is willing to reevaluate it, according to their recent conversation.
"You know what I've been thinking about lately? Dad," she said. "I've been thinking a lot of about Dad. I've been thinking about our sisters that we don't spend any time with and our brother — brothers. We've got four siblings we don't spend any time with."
Kate added, "I was thinking about how everybody's getting older ... it would be nice to connect a little bit, especially with my sisters."
She also explained how it felt hypocritical to act like they had "the best family" when they did not speak to their siblings.
She explained, "We've been talking so much about sibling relationships and distraught relationships and we're sitting here, we're like, 'We've got the best family, we're so great,' and yet we don't ever acknowledge the fact that we have four other siblings. Four."
"So I've been thinking a lot about the Hudsons. Thinking it's important that we reach out with all of our siblings and maybe connect with them a little bit," she explained to Oliver.
The duo's father, Bill Hudson, has a very tense relationship with his kids that came to a head on Father's Day in 2015 when Oliver posted, "Happy abandonment day."
At the time, Bill responded by saying that Kate and Oliver were "no longer a part of [his] life." He said to Daily Mail, "I had five birth children but I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognise Oliver and Kate as my own...Oliver's Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth."
Although they might not be up for reconciling their father, it seems that Kate at least is ready to reach out to their siblings.
