During the interview, Hudson explains, "But it's the things that I'm strict about. Where I am strict is that there are certain rules that I put down. I don't negotiate with my kids about certain things."
Although it might sound harsh, Hudson also thinks it's effective when it comes to raising her kids.
"And what I realized about that is that when you set that standard in your home, you don't end up in long-winded negotiations. When I say no, it's done," she adds.
And there's a few rules she is definitely stricter about.
The Fabletics co-founder tells People that she is "very, very strict about manners."
She also does not tolerate lying--no matter how small; she adds, "The tiny lies or the big ones."
Although she is very strict about some things when it comes to her children, she can also be very open and flexible at times.
The 41-year-old explains, "When it comes to your feelings or emotions ... I'm very open. I give my children a lot of space to make mistakes."
She also encourages other parents not to judge one another.
Hudson says, "We all need to have an open mind and feel good about what we're doing and let other people live the way they want to live."
Plus, she adds, "there's way too much judging going on in the world."
