Kate Middleton And Queen Camilla Disagreed Over The Coronation Guest List
Kate Middleton is already rumored to have been upset that her former friend, Rose Hanbury, who Prince William was rumored to have had an affair with, was not only invited to the coronation but actually attended it. But that’s not all...
According to Bower, who appeared on Dan Wootton Tonight on Tuesday, May 16th, Camilla (formerly known as Camilla Parker-Bowles after her marriage to British Army officer Andrew Parker Bowles in 1973) had 20 of her own family members on the guest list, yet the Duchess of Cambridge wasn’t even allowed to have her sister Pippa Middleton or brother James Middleton's partners at the event. We said last week that Kate regularly puts on a brave face in public despite being "heavily affected" by the royal rift – but even she couldn’t hide her feelings at the coronation!
"Camilla brought 20 Parker Bowleses to the coronation and there were four Middletons," Bower explained. "If you look at the coronation footage, as the King and Queen leave the thrones and head for the exit of Westminster Abbey, you’ll see that everyone bows and curtsies to the King and no one moves a limb, a muscle, when Camilla passes. And that’s because they were angry with Camilla." It all makes sense now!
Many People Felt Snubbed By Camilla
Kate wasn’t the only one who was angry with Camilla though, as the New York Post reported that many of the people who helped change Camilla's image from mistress to new Queen were also snubbed from the historic event. As expected, they were "furious" about it too!
"All the people that helped Camilla get the crown on her head were excluded from that coronation, and they were furious," Bower continued, adding, "Kate and William were angry too. That anger went right through that small part of the congregation by the throne, at the center of Westminster Abbey. And in that moment, it was absolutely noticeable to those people who had been excluded that nobody — let alone Kate — curtsied to Queen Camilla."
Prince William Snubbed Camilla Too
Prince William, 40, not-so-subtly snubbed his step mother at the coronation concert the following day, as he failed to mention her in his speech. "What was even more noticeable was, at the Windsor concert the following day, William makes no reference to Queen Camilla [in his speech]. So there is a tension there," Bower said, before adding that Camilla is actually "exhausted" by everything that's happening at the moment.
"The whole problem with Camilla is that she’s exhausted at the moment," he continued, adding, "Those who met her in the weeks before the coronation noticed a very tired, very worn-out woman with tell-tale signs of age, and she’s clearly exhausted by the whole thing."
