Although jeans might not be a royal wardrobe staple, Kate Middleton always makes them look chic on the rare occasion she decides to wear a pair. While she’s known for always looking polished and is usually spotted in midi-length dresses by luxury designers like Alexander McQueen or Rebecca Taylor or even more affordable options from Zara, we love seeing her dressed down in a great pair of jeans.
When we saw her wearing this black skinny pair, she made us want to add them to our fall wardrobe ASAP!
While Kate’s brother and sister-in-law, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been making headlines in a controversial way, Kate Middleton and Prince William have been keeping things low key across the pond. Kate recently stepped out for two royal engagements in Cumbria, England. Despite the official nature of the events, Kate opted for a casual look, pairing classic black skinny jeans with an olive green puffer jacket.
Kate joined Air Cadets at the Royal Air Force Windermere Adventure Training Center, where she proved to be the true sportswoman as she spent time partaking in outdoor activities like abseiling and mountain biking. If anyone can make outdoorsy look chic and effortless, it’s the Duchess of Cambridge. Although Queen Elizabeth has never been seen in jeans, Kate Middleton's late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, was a royal-off-duty style icon often spotted in denim with her young boys.
Later in her trip, Kate swapped her puffer jacket for a chic tweed blazer and was spotted on a boat trip with some of the "Windermere Children," who survived the Holocaust and arrived in Northern England in 1945.
Kate spoke to relatives of the survivors, who explained how the Windermere Children went on to build successful lives in the United Kingdom.
