Tom Quinn is dropping even more bombshells about the Prince and Princess of Wales in his brand new book, Gilded Youth: A History of Growing Up in the Royal Family. We thought that hearing about the “terrible rows” that Prince William, 40, and Kate Middleton, 41, have – where they allegedly even “throw things at each other” – was a bombshell enough, but now something else has been discovered that has rendered quite a few people speechless!

Kate Middleton Reportedly Had To Have Fertility Tests Before The Royal Wedding
According to Quinn, there were quite a few rules that Kate and William had to follow before their big royal wedding at Westminster Abbey in April 2011, due to the fact that Kate was going to be a bride from outside of royalty or aristocracy and essentially regarded as a 'commoner.' And making sure that Kate could bear children was one of the big ones, with Quinn writing that Kate had to take fertility tests before she married Prince William.
"These are always carried out to ensure a future queen is able to have children," Quinn wrote. "If Kate had not been fertile, there is little doubt the marriage would have been off." He also went on to add that Princess Kate "must have known precisely what was going on, but she is not, nor has she ever been a rebel."
Princess Diana Also Had To Have Similar Tests In 1981
Hello! also reported that Princess Diana had to go through similar tests herself before she married the then Prince Charles in 1981. We already know that being able to bear children and produce heirs to the throne is so important within the royal family, as it was previously reported that Princess Diana being younger and therefore having a better chance at giving King Charles heirs was one of the main reasons he chose to marry her over his true love, Camilla.
Quinn also mentioned the late Princess Diana's testing, writing: "Diana complained in a brief encounter with the present author that she had in all innocence thought her premarital check-ups had to do with general health, only realizing later on that she had actually been tested for fertility. 'I was so innocent I just went along with everything at that stage,' she said."
Will Prince William And Kate Middleton Have A Fourth Child?
Luckily, Kate seemed to have passed all the tests and she and Prince William are parents to three beautiful children – Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4.
Just last month, astrologer Debbie Frank, who was said to be a close friend of the late Princess Diana, reportedly claimed that she saw a fourth baby in the Prince and Princess of Wales' not-so-distant future, saying that she felt they were "finally feeling ready" to expand their brood "sometime in 2023" after "going back and forth" about their decision for a while. We can't wait to see if she was right with her predictions!
