Prince William thinks Kate Middleton is 'crazy' for cold water swimming
When the conversation turned toward the importance of staying active, Kate shared the one habit that she incorporates into her routine as often as she can—cold water swimming. "The colder, the better. I absolutely love it," the Princess says.
But Kate explains that William doesn't share her passion. "It's dark and it's raining and I'll go and seek out cold water,” she says. "And William's like, 'Catherine, you’re crazy.'" We might have to agree with Will on this one! Though, there's actually scientific evidence that shows that cold water immersion may protect against cardiovascular, obesity, and other metabolic diseases. It looks like Kate might have the right idea!
The royal couple have showcased their athleticism and competitive nature in a number of royal outings, including a spin-bike race (Kate won!) and a sailing contest (William took this one home).
Kate & William pass down their competitive nature
Tindall then shifted the conversation to the couple’s kids, George, 10, Charlotte, 8, and Louis, 5. The podcast host asked if any of Kate and William’s competitive nature could already be seen in the young children.
"What I think is really interesting is that they are all obviously very different temperaments," Kate explained. "They are growing and trying out different sports. They're obviously still really young. It's going to be interesting to see how that grows and develops."
Fan reactions
Many fans took to Reddit to share their reactions to Kate’'s crazy fitness habit. "Beautiful, stunning, charming, graceful, kind Princess Catherine. She will be a fantastic Queen," one user wrote.
"Princess Catherine is just a doll, she's so much like princess Diana, Prince William picked a real beauty to be his princess," another commenter gushed. "She's a princess in every way."
A third fan took William's side, writing, "I agree with William. Dark? Yes. Rainy? Yes. In the water? Hell no."
"Princess Catherine is clearly a lady who likes to push herself beyond her comfort zone," another wrote.
A final user wrote exactly what we're thinking: "She's an inspiration for us all!"
