Kate Middleton, 41, seldom gets it wrong as far as her style is concerned. There may have been a few moments that divided the internet – such as the time she broke royal protocol and wore a bold, albeit stunning, shade of red nail polish as opposed to one of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s approved clear or very pale pink shades – but all in all, she has barely put a foot wrong in the 12 years she has officially been a royal.
However, one of her looks from last year has been going viral for a very interesting reason. The bright green Solace London dress the Princess of Wales wore to the Earthshot Prize Awards in Boston on December 2nd, which she actually rented from Hurr, has been in the spotlight not because it also broke royal protocol with its racy leg slit, but because of the color, as the color acted as a green screen which therefore allowed it to be edited beyond belief!
Kate Middleton's Green Solace London Dress Goes Viral on TikTok
The TikTok account @Samehoodies proved just how many looks could be created with Kate's dress acting as a green screen, as in just a few seconds, she could be seen wearing the once viral blue and black/white and gold dress, as well as a blue Marge Simpson hairstyle. She also had a skeleton superimposed in place of her dress, and perhaps most hilariously of all, promos for the Netflix Harry & Meghan docuseries.

Fan Comments
As expected, the comments section was overflowing from the moment the video was posted! "No but did she really have to wear that? Like there are so many other shades of green but she chose that green screen green," one TikTok user wrote, as another said that the faux pas was "her stylist's fault." One other user said her "stylist definitely knew," and another added that the stylist "did her so dirty." "Nah, the stylist knew what's going on," speculated another. "The royal stylists must know the repercussions of a green anything," another user assumed.
"Not the blue and black/ white and gold dress," wrote one TikTok user, followed by the crying emoji; a comment which has since received over 20K likes! The white and gold/blue and black dress I'm crying," echoed another. "The skeleton I'm crying," said another, while someone else said, "The skeleton one threw me off guard," followed by a crying emoji, while many others were obsessed with the Harry & Meghan superimposition. "The Harry and Meghan one ahaha," commented one fan, as another quipped, "Netflix doing all they can to promote the documentary lol."
However, despite all the jokes, many TikTok users were in agreement that the Princess of Wales looked breathtaking in the dress. "I like the green dress and it fit the occasion," praised one fan. "She slayed nevertheless," added another. "Honestly it's funny but she looked amazing in that shade of green like it was her color," complimented one fan, which another agreed with, writing, "It's her colour though she looked so stunning." We wholeheartedly agree!
