Although Kate Middleton is slowly returning to her public duties and therefore stepping out in dreamy new outfits, we still can’t help but go through the archives to obsess over some of her previous sartorial hits.
The Princess of Wales has had no shortage of wow-worthy ensembles; and the leopard-print mini dress she wore way back in 2008, two years before Prince William popped the question, still lives rent-free in our minds!
Kate Middleton Wears A Monochrome Leopard Print Mini Dress To 'Afrika Afrika' Show And After Party In 2008
Kate Middleton rocked a monochrome leopard-print mini dress on the Afrika Afrika opening night, which took place at London's O2 Arena in January 2008. She also attended the after party, wearing the same covetable black and white animal print ensemble.
While mini dresses definitely break the senior royal dress code, there was absolutely no problem with Prince William's then-girlfriend wearing the racier ensemble before the pair had gotten engaged.
Interestingly, even though the hemline of the dress was much shorter than the now mom-of-three would wear in the present day, as she tends to opt for sophisticated midi skirt and dresses, she still managed to make the outfit look chic and elegant.
The brunette beauty kept things classy by covering up in some sheer tights – we assume they were to also keep out the chill given that the event was in January – and adding a sophisticated black mid-length coat on top.
She finished off her outfit with some leg-elongating black Jimmy Choo heels and accessorized with a black patent L.K. Bennett bag and some chunky earrings, which as we all remember were very en-vogue at the time.
