Estranged sisters-in-law Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle may not be seeing each other in public any time soon due to their aforementioned estrangement, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t go through the archives and see some of their previous interactions.
One particular moment which will live rent-free in fans’ minds for many more years to come happened at the late Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022. The Princess of Wales, 42, appeared to have an awkward moment with the Duchess of Sussex, also 42, during the procession in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. And it was caught on camera for everyone to see and remember forever!
The sisters-in-law appeared to have a little seat mix-up in St George’s Chapel after the procession started. Prince William appeared to be the one to let his family know when they could take their pre-assigned seats. He was seen telling eldest son Prince George to wait, but Kate didn’t know this and started walking down the aisle.
Prince William could then be seen letting his wife know that they should wait, after which Kate stepped back to allow Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to go before them. It was all quite awkward, and many videos of that moment have made their way online.
