Although sources have recently revealed that Meghan Markle has “moved on” from the royal family drama and is keen to put things behind her to focus on her life in the U.S., it’s been revealed that Kate Middleton is willing to do whatever it takes to protect her family from Prince Harry and Meghan’s potential future attacks – even if that means playing dirty!
Royal Insider Says Kate Middleton Is 'Not Afraid To Play Dirty'
According to The Express, a royal insider told Closer that the Princess of Wales, 41, is "not afraid to play dirty" when it comes to standing up to Harry, 38, and Meghan 42, both now and in the future. She reportedly "won't hesitate to keep sticking up for the royals as well as herself," the source added, even if it means her popularity takes a hit.
The source stated that the mom-of-three is willing to put her own popularity with the public – and perhaps even other members of the royal family – at risk in order to protect her family and the monarchy as a whole. Kate is one of the most popular members of the royal family (for obvious reasons, we think!) but she is reportedly willing to sacrifice it all for the sake of her family!
The Princess of Wales is "fiercely protective when it comes to defending the family and the overall interests of the royal family," the source said, adding, "If that means fighting fire with fire at times then she's more than willing to do so – even if it makes her less popular with certain people."
This might seem a little out of character, as the Princess of Wales is reportedly known to be very fair and able to see both sides of things. "She's very much the voice of reason and is known within the Firm for being a clear, fair thinker who tries to weigh up all sides before rushing to judgment or thinking ill of anyone," the source explained, before issuing their own warning to the Duchess of Sussex.
A Warning To Meghan Markle
"Meghan needs to be extremely careful with these power games because Kate won’t hesitate to keep sticking up for the royals as well as herself," the source continued. "She’s shown an incredible amount of tolerance and bitten her lip but even she can only be pushed so far, and this latest revelation is being seen as a very clear message to Meghan to back off and watch what she says about Kate moving forward." Yikes!
"The bottom line here is that Kate’s not afraid to take the gloves off and play dirty if she has to. It’s about self-preservation and not being walked all over, but also what’s fair and right at the end of the day, too."
