Kate Middleton reportedly arranged a private meeting with her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, aiming to help him reconcile with his brother, Prince William. According to sources, the Princess of Wales, 43, is “desparate” and making every effort to mend the relationship, as she deeply misses The Duke of Sussex, 40.
Princess Kate apparently contacted the Spare author a few months ago while discussing his plans to visit the UK, informing him that her family would be traveling to Mustique for the half-term break. She suggested that this would be an ideal chance for Harry to spend time with her family away from the public eye.
Kate Middleton Reportedly Had Private Meeting With Prince Harry To Help Him Mend Rift With Prince William
It is said that Harry joined Kate, a somewhat distant William, 42, and their three children; Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
Kate's mother, Carole Middleton, was also apparently in attendance. As an insider dished to Closer Magazine: "Kate reached out to Harry a couple of months ago when they were discussing his upcoming trip to the UK, and told him their plans to go to Mustique over half term."
They added: "She said it might be a good opportunity for him to see her, William and the children and have some privacy away from prying eyes every time he's in the UK."

The tipster continued, noting that Harry (who shares son Prince Archie, 5, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 3, with wife Meghan Markle) "agreed but didn’t confirm he was flying out until he was in Canada for the Invictus Games, so it was all very last minute." He then "flew in for a hurried visit and stayed at a friend’s villa close to where Kate and William were staying."
The Wales family departed for their secluded getaway on February 13th, and Harry reportedly joined them on February 16th, following the conclusion of his Invictus Games in Vancouver, Canada.

The source also shared: "Kate invited him over for lunch the day after he arrived and while he seemed very on-edge at first, he loosened up after playing around with the children and he ended up staying into the evening. Kate hoped that this would be an opportunity for them all to really talk and try to get some resolve after years of fighting."
In addition, the insider explained that William was "frosty the entire time and didn’t really engage," but Kate was "quite tearful at points – it made her realize how she’d desperately missed Harry and how sad it was they’re all living totally separate lives now."

The insider went on: "Kate did her best to try to get them talking, but it was clear that William wasn’t interested and was incredibly guarded amid his lack of trust for his brother."
Kate, the source stressed, is "desperate for the brothers to make peace and find a way that Harry can come back into the fold." Harry thought "the privacy of Mustique would be perfect," but he "felt knocked back by William’s response when he flew back to the US."

They also noted: "Kate was a little more subdued when Harry left - making it clear how torn she felt between wanting to reconcile with Harry and being happy he came and of course, her loyalty and love for William."
"After Harry’s visit she told William that 'enough is enough' and that he really has to try to work towards forgiving his brother. If the last year has taught her anything, it’s that life is too short."
