Kate Middleton, 41, was reportedly denied the chance to say a final goodbye to the late Queen Elizabeth II before she passed away, because she was forced to stay away from Balmoral to ensure Meghan Markle, 41, also wouldn’t be present. This bombshell revelation was made by royal biographer Robert Jobson, who said the decision for only immediate family such as children and grandchildren to be by the Queen’s side at Balmoral was made by King Charles, 74, to make sure Prince Harry, 38, didn’t insist on bringing Meghan if he knew that Kate was also going to be there.
King Charles Asked For 'Only Children And Grandchildren' To Be By Queen's Side
"Harry was insisting Meghan travel with him to Scotland as the Queen’s life ebbed away but the King said it was only for the children and grandchildren to be with the Queen," Jobson, who wrote Our King: Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed, told the Daily Telegraph in Australia, adding that King Charles also said, "If Catherine doesn’t come, Meghan can’t either, it’s not appropriate for wives to attend." Despite King Charles' request, the Queen’s youngest son, Prince Edward, was accompanied by his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.
"Privately, he wanted to say Meghan was not welcome," Jobson continued. "But he couldn't say that to Harry, so he personally intervened and asked Kate to stay back so that it was fairer on Meghan."

Kate Middleton 'Has Built Up Resentment' Towards Meghan Markle
"Kate deliberately stayed away but she desperately wanted to be there with the Queen in her last moments. That’s eaten Kate up and has built up resentment towards Meghan," he continued, referencing how the Princess of Wales had stayed back at Adelaide Cottage.
Jobson also explained that when the late Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96, she was with Charles and Camilla, and Princess Anne, the Queen’s only daughter. William, Edward, Sophie, and Andrew reportedly arrived at 5pm that day, two hours after she passed, while Harry joined them at 8pm.
