Kate Middleton Wore A (Familiar) White One-Shoulder Alexander McQueen Gown To BAFTAs—Can You Spot How She Changed It?

Kate Middleton just re-wore a stunning white gown from her royal wardrobe to the BAFTA Awards in London, and you might recognize it!
The Princess of Wales, 41, graced the awards ceremony red carpet over the weekend in a floor-length, one-shoulder Alexander McQueen dress that she previously donned to the 2019 BAFTAs.
This time, the duchess and style icon added black opera-length gloves and a black clutch, and she also styled her hair down instead of up.
The mom of four promoted sustainability with the familiar frock, and shimmered at the event with the help of dangly, gold statement earrings. Instead of flowers on the shoulder strap, this time it looked more ruffly and flowy.
She stepped out in gold heels, and posed alongside her husband, Prince William, who looked dapper in a classic suit and bow tie. Princess Kate wore her long brunette tresses down, parted in the center and styled straight with her signature voluminous blowout.
As for her makeup look, the royal went for a classic smokey eye with glittery eyeshadow, black liner and sky-high lashes. She also added rosy blush to her high cheekbones, and topped it all off with a shiny and subtle reddish lip color.
Back in 2019, Kate wore her hair up in a slicked-back bun to the BAFTAs, and also rocked a black, kohl-rimmed eye look. She also opted for sparkly, dangly earrings and a glistening wristlet, but accessorized with a white clutch rather than a black one.
Prince William has served as the president of BAFTA since 2010, and he and Princess Kate are regulars on the red carpet, appearing at the show together almost every year following their 2011 wedding.
The 2023 ceremony also marked their return to the event for the first time since 2020 as the pandemic led to a virtual ceremony in 2021, and in 2022, William gave a virtual speech but he and Kate couldn’t attend the event due to “diary conflicts.”
