Royal Fans Think Kate Middleton's Second Public Appearance Outside Windsor Castle Is Fake: 'The Bricks Don't Match'

Kate Middleton has been spotted for the second time since the news of her planned abdominal surgery was announced in the middle of January. And just like her first outing and the badly edited Mother’s Day picture she released on Sunday – and later apologized for –  it’s caused a huge stir on social media.

Akin to the Mother’s Day picture with children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, royal fans think the latest picture of the Princess of Wales is fake. The picture in question – which you can check out here – shows Prince William, 41, sitting in the back of a car while on his way to the annual Commonwealth Day service on Monday, March 11th. Although the picture isn’t the best quality, his face is still quite clear. Sitting alongside him is his wife Kate Middleton, who was not attending the service but was reportedly on her way to another appointment. A health checkup perhaps?

Kate Middleton Picture Causes A Stir On Social Media

The Princess of Wales, 42, is pictured with her back to the camera, with her head also facing away from the camera. The fact that the picture doesn't reveal her face has caused some concern on social media, and has understandably done nothing to stop the endless controversies about her. The fact that the bricks seen through the car windows and the bricks shown outside the car don't appear to match have also caused fans to speculate about the picture's authenticity.

"Has no one else noticed that the most recent photo of #KateMiddleton in the car… the bricks in the car windows, don't appear to match the bricks outside the car…why? Is this another photoshopped picture… #Katespiracy #KateGate," one royal fan wrote on X. "Surely not, another edited image? It may appear so," commented another.

If you'll recall, the first picture that was released of the Princess of Wales post-surgery saw her sitting in the car alongside her mother, Carole Middleton, on the Windsor estate. The picture (check it out here) was met with huge controversy, as many people online didn't think the person in the picture was her, and instead, thought it was a doppelgänger or even her sister Pippa Middleton.

Royal Fans Are Concerned About Kate Middleton's Wellbeing And Whereabouts

Royal fans have been concerned about the Princess of Wales ever since her planned abdominal surgery was announced by Kensington Palace in January; the same day it was revealed that King Charles was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate. Although the palace confirmed that the mom-of-three would be resting at Adelaide Cottage and wouldn't be returning to public duties until after Easter, the internet has been speculating about her health and wellbeing ever since.

While some fans were genuinely concerned for her health, other fans wondered whether the surgery was a coverup for something bigger, such as a bigger operation or even a potential divorce announcement. As we all know, nothing is too "out there" when it comes to social media speculation!

TikTok Reacts To Kate Middleton's Latest Sighting

There have been countless social media posts about the Princess of Wales' latest sighting. A video by TikTok user @caroclaireburkeee seems to summarize a lot of the internet's feelings about the picture and the controversies about Kate Middleton's wellbeing and whereabouts quite well, with the user saying: "If you ran PR for the royal family, and you had just been exposed to the world for making a huge gaffe with a photo (this is hypothetical) if you had been caught publicly for Photoshopping a picture of one of the most famous people that you have been charged to protect in the public, and if conspiracy theories were truly blowing up about this person in response to your gaffe, would this be the photo op that you would be choosing to prove that the person you are representing is in fact totally fine?"

"Name a better photo that can singlehandedly fuel every single conspiracy theory taking place right now about Kate Middleton better than this photo," she continued. "The idea that she's gotten plastic surgery? Check. The idea that she is in a coma and being propped up? Check. The idea that she is having major marital disputes? Check. The idea that she has been cloned? Check. The idea that she's in the middle of a mental health crisis? Check. It is such a mistake for them to be doing this!"

Fan Comments

"I think that looks more like Rose Hanbury next to him, not Kate," speculated one fan in the comments section, in reference to Kate's former friend who William was rumored to have had an affair with. And many other fans seemed to think the same thing! "That's my first thought it literally looks like Rose," agreed one user, as another concurred: "Came here to say the same thing!" "I don't think the woman next to William is Kate and the woman in the car with Carole Middleton is definitely not her!" exclaimed another, also referencing the first picture of the Princess of Wales which was previously released.

"If Kate was 'really' in the hospital, or at home recovering, they would have taken a picture of her 'recovering.' The need to lie shows panicking mode, they lied about her condition," speculated one user. "I think there was a domestic dispute and Kate needed face surgery to hide the damage and atm the scars are too obvious and can't be explained with a lie," thought another, as someone else wrote: "At the beginning I was amused at the BBL conspiracies, then I was confused by the secrecy, now I'm actually concerned for her wellbeing & I am someone who never cared about the royal family." "[I don't know] if this is a stupid theory but is there a chance they're letting people speculate about Kate to distract from the King's declining health?" asked another.

"Is someone pranking the Royal Family?" wondered another TikTok user. "I saw someone say she's on The Masked Singer lol," joked one user, as one replied, "This is the best 'theory,'" followed by two crying laughing emojis, as another said: "This is officially my favorite theory LOL." "I saw on another post that she's just growing out her bangs," quipped another TikTok user.
