Kate Middleton rarely wears jeans over dresses, but when she does they’re almost always skinny. Until now!
The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out for a visited to London’s Natural History Museum late last month, and opted for a pair of trendy straight-leg jeans for the occasion. And they’re under $100! We think she looks *so* chic.
Kate, who is the royal patron for the museum, opted for an outfit of a salmon Chloé blazer, & Other Stories $89 jeans, a white Ralph Lauren top, and Veja leather sneakers that match her blazer for the engagement. It’s an unexpected look for her royal highness–but we think she should replicate it more often:

Call it the Kate effect, but the affordable jeans from the Swedish brand almost immediately sold out online. The H&M-owned clothing line sells other similar high-waisted and cropped straight styles of the jeans.
The casual-chic outfit was completed with Kate’s Daniella Draper gold necklace and gold hoop earrings. Perfection!
