Prince William Reportedly Has A Very Strict Daily Routine, And Kate Middleton Has To 'Calm Him Down' If Things Don't Go To Plan
According to an excerpt obtained by The Times, palace staffers claimed that the Prince of Wales, 42, has a very regimented daily routine, including having his bath run for him "at precisely the same time each day."
And when things don't adhere to his strict schedule or go according to plan, he reportedly has a hard time adapting, and is no stranger to throwing tantrums. Yes, really! As a result of his anger, the Princess of Wales, 43, therefore has to treat her husband as her "fourth child."
Kate Middleton Reportedly Does A Lot For Prince William
"I don't know where William would be without Kate," a former staffer claimed, as per the book. "She hasn't had everything done for her throughout her life, so she calms him down when he gets a bit fractious."
"She said he sometimes has to be treated as her fourth child," the staffer continued, before another insider detailed some of the other things Kate has had to do for her husband due to his upbringing.
One of those things, according to the book, was showing him how to give the children a piggyback, as he had never experienced it in his life. The insider said: "Kate had to explain many of the things that parents outside the royal family do with their children as a matter of course – she had to show him how to give the children a piggyback, for example. William said very quietly, 'My father never gave me a piggyback.'"
Tom Quinn Previously Discussed Prince William's 'Tantrums' In 2023
Quinn previously touched on Prince William's temper back in 2023, telling The Express that a Kensington Palace source informed him that Kate treats her husband like a "fourth child" because he is "prone to tantrums."
As per The Mirror, Quinn said at the time: "Kate treats him like the fourth child because he's prone to tantrums." Quinn went on to say that things can get pretty heated between the couple, and they are not immune to arguments!
"They do have rows. It's not a perfect marriage," Quinn continued, adding: "They have terrific rows. But, where some couples have a row and throw heavy vases at each other, William and Kate throw cushions at each other. It's always kept under control."
