The Princess of Wales, 42, revealed that she has completed her chemotherapy treatment and is now opening up about her journey since her diagnosis earlier this year.
On Monday, September 9th, Kate unveiled a wholesome video message, filmed in August, close to her family’s Norfolk home. The video also includes appearances by her husband, Prince William, along with their three children: 11-year-old Prince George, 9-year-old Princess Charlotte, and 6-year-old Prince Louis.
Understandably, many viewers have expressed on social media how “moved” they are by Kate’s vulnerability and encouraging words, as well as how inspired they feel by her remarkable “courage” and “strength.”

Kate Middleton Announces Completion of Chemotherapy, Reflects on the ‘Incredibly Tough’ Past Nine Months
The mom of three said: “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.” In the clip, she continued, reflecting: “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
Kate eloquently went on: “The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”
"This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved," Kate noted. The royal family member added: "Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes."
Kate also expressed her anticipation for returning to work and participating in additional public engagements in the upcoming months. "I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can," she explained. She also movingly shared: "Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life."
The princess also thanked fans and followers for their loving words over the past few months. "William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time. Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling," she gushed. Kate concluded: "To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright."
Captured by photographer Will Warr last month in Norfolk, England, the footage reveals the Wales family relishing outdoor moments, sharing a picnic, and exchanging affectionate hugs and kisses. One segment showcases Kate, William, 42, and their three kids engaged in a card game alongside Kate's parents, Michael and Carole Middleton.
Other scenes depict the Prince and Princess of Wales strolling, sitting together, and warmly embracing. In March, Kate disclosed her cancer diagnosis, which followed what the palace termed a "planned abdominal surgery" in January.
She has chosen to keep the specific type of cancer and the precise details of her treatment private, only mentioning that she was receiving "preventative chemotherapy" at the time.
