Will Kate Middleton Attend More Public Events And Engagements Amid Her Cancer Battle? A Royal Expert Weighs In
This marked only Kate's second public engagement this year, following the Trooping the Colour ceremony in June, as she continues her cancer treatment. Royal expert Robert Jobson recently sat down with People Magazine and conveyed his insights, believing that Kate is unlikely to attend more events as she continues to prioritize her health.
Jobson, author of Catherine, the Princess of Wales: A Biography of the Future Queen dished to People that before Kate's cancer diagnosis, "she used to live her life by the calendar, and now she is living her life, and the calendar comes in after."
He went on: "She will be back, but when you have had an experience like this, it changes your perspective and the order of things."
Moreover, another insider revealed to the Mirror that Kate intends to dedicate a significant portion of her summer at Anmer Hall, the family's countryside residence, according to the Daily Record. This spot provides convenient access to Norfolk's cherished beaches, a popular choice for Kate's family's excursions.
Furthermore, Kate, her husband Prince William, and their three children (including Charlotte, Prince George, 10, and Prince Louis, 6) are anticipated to accept King Charles' invitation to Balmoral Castle.
The source noted: "She won't have to be on center stage. Being with her family and just being herself will give her energy. There will be plenty of time to focus on her recovery."
This was echoed by an additional palace insider, who told People that Kate's recent outing to Wimbledon "will have given her sustenance."
The source also said that "she has gone through something awful and stressful, and it is crucial to have little wins to look forward to or to give you the courage and energy to go forward. And this was it."
Just before the event on June 14th, Kate shared a heartfelt letter with the public, which gave the first update on her health since announcing that she's currently undergoing chemotherapy.
"I’m looking forward to attending the King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet," she said.
Kate added: "I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body and allowing myself to take this much-needed time to heal."
