The Duchess of Cambridge‘s inner circle is growing!
Her best friend, Emilia Jardine-Paterson and husband David, announced that she gave birth to her first girl and third child, named Lucia Beatrice India, on March 20th. The couple announced the news in the births section of The Times a few months later. We may be a bit late to the game–but congrats to the couple and their pseudo aunt, Kate!
Here’s everything we know:
Kate and Emilia have been best friends since they were teenagers and even attended Marlborough College together. Emilia has also been a part of Prince William’s social circle since youth and is credited for introducing the royal pair.
Emilia is also one of Prince George's godparents. The young prince has six godparents—all of which are close friends both William and Kate.
Emilia currently runs an interior design company and helped Kate redecorate Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall. She and her husband, David, have been part of the royal couple's inner circle since their college days.
Currently, Kate is not a godparent to either of Emilia's two elder sons. However, maybe this time the Duchess will get the honors to be godmother to little Lucia Beatrice India, Emilia and David's baby girl.
