Kate Middleton’s workload did not slow since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic or due to Megxit. If anything, the Duchess of Cambridge is busier than ever. A recent report suggests that Middleton isn’t happy with the heavy workload.
According to a report released by the Tatler, Middleton has been complaining to friends that she is overworked and feels “exhausted” and “trapped.” An unnamed source also told the magazine that “Kate is furious about the larger workload” and “She’s working as hard as a top CEO, who has to be wheeled out all the time, without the benefits of boundaries and plenty of holidays.”
Kensington Palace fired back almost immediately, claiming that Kate is “refreshed and ready to return to work.” Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior members of the Royal family, both Middleton and her husband, Prince William, have seen an uptick in their royal obligations. This has led to less time with their family, and the added stress of the coronavirus pandemic has taken a toll.
Although the royal couple has move operations to their home offices, the work still continues. Additionally, the couple is seeing to the home education of their school-age children and caring for a toddler. The mom of three definitely has her hands full.
Whether or not Middleton is really fed up with her workload, the age-old dilemma of work-life balance comes in to play. No matter what the rest of the year brings, Middleton plans on resuming her projects she had to pause due to the pandemic. As Britain reopens, we are sure to see more of the impeccably dressed Middleton back to business as usual.
