Kathy Bates is continuing to wow fans with her epic 100-lb weight loss, which she previously said took her six to seven years to achieve.

The 76-year-old Oscar-winning actress opened up to Variety about her super-impressive weight loss back in September, and has now given even more information to People – while posing for some pictures that really show off her new figure! Click here to see some of the amazing photos!

Kathy Bates Credits Ozempic For Some Of Her 100-Lb Weight Loss

The timing of the Annie actress's 100-lb weight loss transformation pictures has understandably caused the internet to think that she had some help from weight loss injections such as Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Wegovy, to name just three. And while that wasn't true for *most* of her weight loss, she *did* confess that Ozempic helped her shed the final 20 lbs. We love Kathy Bates even more for her honesty!

The American Horror Story: Apocalypse alum told People that she lost 80 lbs. by changing her diet and exercising – something which took six to seven years – with Ozempic helping her shed the final 20 lbs.

"There's been a lot of talk that I just was able to do this because of Ozempic. But I have to impress upon people out there that this was hard work for me, especially during the pandemic," she confessed, adding: "It's very hard to say you've had enough."

What Did Kathy Bates Say About Her Diet And Exercise Routine?

The Relative Strangers actress, who is now starring in CBS' Matlock reboot, spoke to the mag about some of the diet and lifestyle changes she made over the past seven years, which we assume she still sticks to in order to maintain her 100-lb weight loss.

Bates explained that she had to re-train her body to stop eating once it was full, and of course, cut out some of the very unhealthy foods she loves. She also said that she stops eating after 8pm!

"I used to eat terribly: burgers and Cokes and pizza," the Titanic actress told People, before confessing that she does allow herself to have an occasional treat, such as a Pink's Hot Dog which she ate on the Matlock set. She said: "Oh, my God, I hadn't had a hot dog in such a long time. Today I'm getting back on my track."

Bates also detailed some of the exercise she likes doing, but reiterated that she doesn't see the appeal of a personal trainer, and instead, likes to do it alone. "I have a treadmill here at the house, and I might try Pilates," she told the pub, adding: "People always ask, 'Don't you want a trainer?' No, I really don't. I don't want anybody over my shoulder. It's just very important to me to keep this going. I don't want to slip."

Kathy Bates Says Her Weight Loss Has Other Benefits Too

As well as helping her Type 2 diabetes, losing so much weight has also helped the actress with her other health condition too. Bates was diagnosed with lymphedema after undergoing a double mastectomy following a breast cancer diagnosis in 2012, and told People that she no longer experiences swelling since shedding the pounds.

"It's been a tremendous benefit for me. I'm lucky that I don't have to wear my compression sleeves every day," Bates explained. "It's such a thrill to be able to put my arm into a jacket and it fits."

Another benefit of the weight loss is the actress's ability to work longer hours, which is imperative when filming a weekly TV series. Speaking about how it has helped here on the Matlock set, Bates said: "Physically, I'm capable of doing this show. I don't have to sit down. I can stand up all day long and walk and move and breathe and do so many things that I couldn't before."
