Katy Perry has been wowing fans with her 20-lb weight loss transformation and epic string of sultry, ab-baring outfits lately. The “Roar” hitmaker and style icon, 39, touched down in Australia last week to perform at the AFL Grand Final. Perry also opened up more about her healthy diet with her 205 million Instagram followers.
In a new IG video post, the mom of one (who shares 4-year-old daughter Daisy with partner Orlando Bloom) revealed that she often eats “a lot of hard boiled eggs because they are a great source of protein.” The “California Gurls” artist went on, quipping in the clip: “I don’t crack them on [the plate], I go like this [cracks on forehead]. Ouch, that one really hurt and it had some juice in it.”
The “Woman’s World” singer captioned her September 30th video post: “Australia: The Chaos Cut.” This all comes after Perry made headlines with her slimmer figure, even sparking Ozempic rumors and whispers of her taking medication and drugs to shed pounds. However, Perry has maintained that she is inspired by her beau Bloom’s lifestyle and healthy diet, and she also has been working out with him lately.
She noted that like the Lord of the Rings star, she enjoys “clean” foods like chicken or fish with ample fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Speaking with Women’s Health back in January, Perry said: “[Orlando] definitely is very goal-minded about everything with the way he eats and works out.” Perry went on: “I’m probably one-fourth or one-fifth of what he is, so he is super dedicated and I’m more of a maintaining mother.”
The former American Idol judge also shared that her morning routine starts with a glass of water mixed with apple cider vinegar, followed by a serving of celery juice. For breakfast, Perry said she opts for either a banana or hard-boiled eggs. Her lunch typically includes a protein source paired with either a salad or a bowl of soup.
Perry mentioned that her typical dinner features a straightforward dish such as grilled chicken accompanied by quinoa and asparagus. However, she indulges in pasta once or twice a week.
Another major change she prioritized recently was “eating earlier.” She dished to the mag: “I’ve started eating earlier, which everybody swears by, but that’s only because my daughter eats earlier, which is great.” Perry continued: “I used to go to dinner at eight o’clock and anyone that tries to make [a] reservation at eight o’clock, I’m like, ‘I’m out,’ it’s too much.”
Perry also disclosed that she engages in exercise three to four times weekly, though she confessed that working out isn’t exactly her “favorite” activity. “It’s not my favorite thing to do with the world unless I’m dancing or I’m snowboarding or I’m doing something that’s kind of masked,” she said.
The “E.T.” crooner enjoys a diverse array of activities, such as hiking, playing pickleball, and practicing yoga by candlelight.
The “Unconditionally” singer ultimately confessed that, given the choice, she would prefer to spend her leisure hours with her daughter Daisy rather than exercising. “I wanna give any extra moments I have to being present and being a mother,” she said, adding that exercising “ends up on the back burner here and there.”
