Katy Perry, 38, was on the scene in New Orleans to film an episode of this season’s American Idol. Season 21 of the singing competition show has been particularly dramatic for the singer-turned-judge—including a moving moment with a school shooting survivor who auditioned. In New Orleans, Katy took the time to throw out Mardi Gras beads at fans. And, for the occasion, the singer wore some beads herself, specifically a light blue and black beaded black halter dress by Bottega Veneta. Fans couldn’t get enough!
Katy Perry Wears A Black And Blue Bottega Veneta Dress On 'American Idol'
After the plunging chainmail dress for the American Idol bonus episode, the "California Gurls" musician showed off the elevated LBD she wore for the episode on her Instagram. The beaded black and blue mini dress that Katy donned was from Bottega Veneta. It featured a fitted notice and a halter neckline that showed off her toned arms.
She completed her ensemble with a pair of high-heeled boots from her line, Katy Perry Collections. They seem to be a pair of The Laterr Otk Boots in light blue. Katy was styled by Tatiana Waterford who put together the outfit she wore to a New Year's party. She was spotted wearing a cowgirl chic chainmail bodysuit.
She added more glamour to the outfit with a pair of matching blue, triangle earrings. The singer's hair and makeup were created by makeup artist Michael Anthony and hairstylist Rick Henry. She kept her iconic black hair up with two wavy trendles of her hair perfectly framing her face. As for makeup, the singer opted for a smokey eye, volumizing mascara, robin's egg blue under eyeliner, and a mauve lip.
Katy captioned her post, "Here to cure ur Sunday sads and [blues] with #americanidol back at our normal time & place tonight see [you] there bbs." Her 194 million Instagram followers were in love with the little black dress and flooded her comments with praise. "I love her so much my queen" one person commented, while another wrote, "Ughhhh STUNNING." A third person chimed in about her outfit and hair, "MY SOUL," and another commented, "Boss Lady," with a female boss emoji.
