Katy Perry is no stranger to switching up her hairstyle, but the 36-year-old singer’s latest hair change might be her most dramatic yet.

It looks like Katy is back to the long black hair and bangs that she had when she first debuted as a singer.
Plenty of her followers were quick to notice the similarity.
Chris Appleton commented,”And she’s back.”
Ferras also responded to the photo: “Queen of black hair!!!!!!”

We have hairstylist Rick Henry to thank for Perry’s return to her classic long black hair and bangs.
And the new look is coming just in time for season 4 of American Idol.

Fans were more than happy to see the change–even if it is just a wig.

Another wrote, “I miss your dark hair.”
Perry's post was definitely a return to her 2008 signature look, but it looks like we might have to wait for the change to become permanent.
The new mom seems to be loving her blonde hair recently, so we doubt she'll dye her locks just yet. She even debuted some platinum blonde extensions earlier this month. (Though we have to say: we might prefer the black hair!)
