Katy Perry just made the most heartbreaking confession about the mom guilt she faces when she is working and has to leave her daughter Daisy Dove Bloom for long periods. The 37-year-old “Roar” singer is currently in Las Vegas for her highly-praised “Play” residency, which no doubt includes being away from the one-year-old daughter she shares with 45-year-old fiancé Orlando Bloom for longer than she would like.

The “Smile” singer initially opened up to Audacy about the “beautiful gift” that is motherhood, saying: “All of my friends that are my peers in the music world, I’m a mom pusher…don’t just be career-focused for the rest of your life. This is a beautiful gift. It just opens and expands your heart in such incredible ways when you have your own children.”

However, as well as talking about the joys of parenthood, the "Daisies" singer also opened up about the very real "mom guilt" that so many working moms face; and it was pretty heartbreaking to hear!

"It’s a real thing that moms talk about all the time, especially working moms and matriarchs," the "Chained to the Rhythm" singer continued, before adding: "I think if everyone’s happy, if I’m happy, then she’s happy, and if she’s happy, I’m happy."

Perry also went on to praise her fiancé – who is also father to 11-year-old son Flynn, who he shares with former Victoria's Secret Angel, Miranda Kerr – as she credited him with being able to hold down the fort and parent their little girl while she is doing her thing in Vegas!

"I have a great partner that is such a wonderful help. And when I’m not working, I’m just in 24/7-mom zone," she concluded. "And when Orlando’s in between films, he’s there pulling the weight. We’re just a great team." Definitely sounds like teamwork makes the dream work!
