Katy Perry turned heads when she walked onto the red carpet at the MTV VMAs at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York on Wednesday, September 11th.
The VMAs often give us some of the most memorable red carpet looks – we still haven’t recovered from Megan Fox‘s naked Mugler dress from 2022 – and we have a feeling that the former American Idol judge’s look is also going to live rent free in our minds for a very long time!
Katy Perry Wears Ab-Baring Who Decides War Spring 2025 Outfit On MTV VMAs Red Carpet
The 39-year-old "Woman's World" singer flaunted her insane figure in a Who Decides War Spring 2025 ensemble hot off the New York Fashion Week runway, consisting of a super-low-rise ivory-colored distressed maxi skirt and a matching ab-baring one-shoulder crop top. It was not for the faint hearted!
The mom-of-one, who walked the red carpet with her fiancé Orlando Bloom, wore her raven locks in a long wet look style, and her makeup was minimal yet glowing.
Perry chose to forgo all accessories and jewelry – save for a metal arm piece – to let the outfit command all of the attention!
The "Harleys In Hawaii" singer did, however, have a presumably temporary QR code tattoo on her lower back. When scanned, it leads fans to a website promoting her new album, 143. Genius!
It was a big night for the "Roar" singer, as she also received the highly-coveted Video Vanguard Award. It was previously won by Shakira, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Madonna, Britney Spears, and so many more icons, so she's in very good company!
Katy Perry Receives Video Vanguard Award From Orlando Bloom
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor was on hand to present the award to his fiancée after she performed an epic medley of some of her greatest hits, including "Teenage Dream," "Firework," and "I Kissed a Girl."
In her acceptance speech, the "Dark Horse" singer said: "Thank you MTV for always believing in my weirdness from day one and helping artists extend their worlds beyond a song. There are so many things that have to align to have a successful career as an artist. There are no decade-long accidents."
She also thanked her fiancé and daughter, adding: "Thank you to Orlando for keeping me grounded, celebrated, and doing the dishes. And lastly, for my Daisy, the only flowers I'll ever need."
