Katy Perry has changed her look so many times that it’s become one of her key beauty characteristics. Earlier this week the singer was back at it again with a new look that she debuted on ‘American Idol,’ trading in her blonde locks for a long black style, reminiscent of her old cut and color. She really can pull off anything!

Perry first rocked her new look on ‘American Idol’ earlier this week, and then took to Instagram to show off her fierce style when she posed in a leopard print dress with her neck adorned with a large gold cross. The singer, who first dyed her hair blonde over a year ago, seemed to be enamored with her darker look, following up the sultry post with a video of her trying out filters while playing with her hair.
However, it was back to business as usual the next day when Perry revealed that the dark hair was a wig and she still was rocking the blonde she had been so fond of over the last year. Perry has been known to oscillate between hairstyles, and the singer took to Instagram back in February to show off a long brown wig on her “night off.”
Perry recently gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Daisy Dove, with her longtime partner Orlando Bloom. The pair have been in the throes of new parent bliss, enjoying time with their baby even after Katy returned to work as a judge on ‘American Idol.’ Following her new hair reveal on Instagram, Bloom commented, “baby we’re all out of oat milk.” Guess he’s used to the changes!
