Katy Perry Reveals Her Weight Loss Secrets
Katy, 40, just dropped her new album, 143, and the press has seen her in outfits that show off her toned muscles, long legs, and delicate curves. She attributes her 20-pound weight loss to focusing on high-protein foods at every meal. For breakfast, she prefers hard-boiled eggs, explaining in an Instagram post that "they're a great source of protein."
Other diet changes she's made include incorporating apple cider vinegar and celery juice into her diet, in addition to her regular water and coffee. She also tries to eat "clean," have chicken or fish for lunch and dinner and nuts and seeds for quick, on-the-go snacks.
High-Protein Is The Key
Katy is definitely on to something with the high-protein snacks and meals. Foods high in protein will keep you fuller for longer, eliminating the need for snacking throughout the day. Thoughtless snacking is often where unwanted calories come from: a handful of goldfish after lunch, a cookie or two after dinner.
