Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have an extremely enviable marriage, and celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary last summer. 17 years is a lifetime in Hollywood!

However, like most couples, they have had their ups and downs over the years, with their marriage being tested just four months after tying the knot when Kidman staged an intervention for her new husband’s alcohol addiction. And if we are to believe recent reports, there was a little blip in their marriage very recently, as the Being the Ricardos actress was reportedly “disappointed” with a recent comment her husband made about heroin.

Keith Urban Compares Ariana Grande Song To Heroin On Instagram

On May 14th, Urban, 56, took to Instagram to share a video of himself performing a stunning acoustic version of Ariana Grande‘s song “We Can’t Be Friends” during an intimate gig. He captioned the video: “This song is audible heroin.” And it’s the caption that the 56-year-old Oscar-winner reportedly took issue with due to her husband’s past struggles with addiction.

That’s not the first time the “You’ll Think of Me” singer compared the song to heroin either, as he said the same thing during an interview with People. “I don’t know what is going on with that song, but I cannot stop playing it. It’s like audible heroin. Literally, I have to have another hit,” he told the mag, adding: “I play that thing over and over and over.”

Nicole Kidman Was 'Disappointed' By The Heroin Comment

Although the Big Little Lies actress didn't ask her husband to take down the video or edit the caption, she was reportedly extremely upset behind the scenes, with a source telling Woman's Day magazine that she was "disappointed."

"It brought back a very dark time for them when they almost split," the source continued, in reference to his past struggle with alcohol addiction, adding, "But worse than that is she doesn't want her kids to start thinking it's cool or OK or something you can easily 'fix.'"

Kidman famously staged an intervention for the "Somebody Like You" singer back in 2006, just four months after they tied the knot. Urban has been very open about his previous struggles with alcohol addiction, and previously told Rolling Stone Australia: "It's not an uncommon story. You know, the career's on fire and the personal life is also on fire, completely in the wrong way. That was the case for me. I was a real binge drinker."

He went on to say that he grew up watching his father drink heavily, saying it took him "a long time to get sober" because he didn't "recognize" his alcoholism. "A long time because I didn't drink like my dad, so I compared everything to him," he previously explained.

"So it just took a long time for me," the "Making Memories of Us" singer continued. "But I was able to finally make the right choice in my life, that I wish my dad would have made."
