The vulnerable moment doesn’t come long after fans of The Kelly Clarkson Show were left confused after their enthusiastic host took an unexpected two-week break that spanned from the beginning of the month to last week. Despite the sudden change in schedule, Kelly returned to her show all smiles and with a memorable 1000th episode special for her fans.
On Thursday, March 20th, The Kelly Clarkson Show hit quite an impressive milestone with 1,000 episodes since its premiere in 2019.
To celebrate the show’s growth and success, Kelly and other guests decided to celebrate with a 1000th episode special that had her audience very excited. Her ‘Kellyoke’ selection for the notable taping was a powerful cover of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing,” which was followed by an emotional opening speech.
The American Idol winner reflected on the show’s eventful past, reminiscing on all the great guests she’s interviewed, how she and her crew stayed strong during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the locations they’ve gotten to film in, and more.
“We have laughed together, we have cried together with beautiful stories, sang together, danced together, celebrated and competed together,” she said.
The former Voice coach also touched on the struggles she’s faced as a host, which included being on-screen in an eye patch and a cast on her leg during two different episodes. While mentioning the show’s community of employees and guests, she says everyone has been supportive through good times and bad, stating they’ve helped her handle “a lot of ups and downs personally, as well.”
