Kelly Clarkson‘s exceptional vocal range has captivated millions of fans not only with her original songs, but also with her remarkable covers during her eponymous talk show‘s beloved “Kellyoke” segment.
Last week, the Kelly Clarkson Show host, 41, amazed her fans with a stunning rendition of a beloved Whitney Houston hit. With her impressive vibrato and soaring high notes, she delivered a jaw-dropping performance of Houston’s 1990 hit “All the Man That I Need.”
Kelly Clarkson Garners Overwhelming Praise After Her Soulful Live Tribute To Whitney Houston
The soulful cover was later shared on Clarkson’s show’s official Instagram and YouTube pages, receiving overwhelming praise from fans who deemed it “epic,” and “one of the best Kellyoke moments ever.” One fan wrote: “I have CHILLS!!! She delivered an epic cover to a very difficult song and honored Whitney in the process.”
Another commented, regarding Clarkson’s tribute to the late and record-breaking Houston: “the fact that [Kelly Clarkson] can do Whitney justice is a testament to just how amazing she is.” Someone else concurred, writing on YouTube: “Kelly Covering Whitney Houston is always just vocal perfection. Pays tribute to the original while making it her own.”
One other agreed, adding: "Kelly doesn't just sing a song, she breathes life into it." While treating her live audience and viewers to ear-pleasing melodies, Clarkson donned a chic earthy brown midi dress with a curve-hugging fit.
The frock featured ribbed fabric, mid-length sleeves and cute buttons. To dazzle up her ensemble even more, the ever-so-stylish American Idol winner added shiny gold hoop earrings and chunky rings. For her makeup look, the "Since U Been Gone" singer rocked smokey eyeshadow, sky-high lashes, rosy blush and a glossy red lip.
As many of Clarkson's fans know, this isn't her first time covering Houston (and we hope it isn't the last!) Back in March of 2022, she took on the incredibly difficult "I Will Always Love You" and also covered the following Houston hits on her talk show over the past few years: "Saving All My Love For You," "How Will I Know," "Run To You" and "Queen of the Night."
Each time, she's unsurprisingly earned fan acclaim for her vocal prowess and subtle changes to every song, effectively making each her own while also honoring Houston!
