Keep reading for what she has to say.

During their conversation, Clarkson seemed happy to reunite with Hewitt, especially considering her memories of the actress. And it sounds like The Kelly Clarkson Show host has good reason to hold Hewitt in high regard.

She explained that the 9-1-1 star was one of the first celebrities to show her any kindness.

Clarkson explained, "People were really mean to us because we're from a talent show and it was the first season. Like, everyone was so rude to us, like, on the carpet."

"It was so bad," she added. "It was a horrible experience."

However, Hewitt stood out as a friendly face on the red carpet.

Clarkson told her, "You came up to me, ran up to me out of nowhere and were like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm really rooting for you.' You told me, 'Please keep the ones you love so close. It'll end up being about a few people in your life, unfortunately, but this business can be really hard.'"

The advice clearly stood out to Clarkson who still remembered the moment clearly despite the fact that it has been 18 years since her American Idol win.

"You just gave me this advice that was really kind in such an unkind time for me personally," Clarkson said. "It meant the world to me. You were so nice."
