Kelly Clarkson did an excellent job hosting the 2019 Billboard Music Awards last week. The singer even treated fans to two performances during the award show, proving that she is indeed the hostess with the mostest.
Now, we're learning that the former American Idol contestant was rushed to the hospital following the event. Here's what happened:
Clarkson had her appendix removed just hours after hosting the star-studded event. She took to Twitter to keep her fans in the loop, revealing that she endured a tremendous amount of pain during her performances.

“Not gonna lie…. I may or may not have broken down in tears after the show from pain,” Clarkson tweeted Thursday night. The star had “been suffering from a painful bout of appendicitis all week, according to Entertainment Tonight.
“BUT thanks 2 all the amazing people @ Cedars-Sinai [in Los Angeles] I flew home directly after the event, nailed the surgery early this morning, & feeling awesome now! Bye bye appendix #TheShowMustGoOn," Clarkson wrote, revealing that she hopped on a plane from Las Vegas to L.A. to be treated after the show.
