Kelly Clarkson Tells Fans All About Her New Album On Instagram
Dressed in a chic black outfit in what appears to be her dressing room, the Kelly Clarkson Show host said: “It is officially time to tell you that I’ve been working on this project for close to three years now, and I wasn’t sure I was going to release it but I am!”
The “Because Of You” singer then revealed that the highly-anticipated album will be called Chemistry, and told fans how she came up with the interesting title! “I was trying to find a word that really described the whole thing ’cause I didn’t want everybody to think I was just coming out with some just like, ‘I’m angry, I’m sad’ — like just one or two emotions, you know?”
"This album is definitely the arc of an entire relationship… and a whole relationship shouldn’t be just brought down to one thing. So there’s, you know, the good, the bad and the ugly kind of thing going on in it," the "Stronger" singer continued, adding, "Chemistry can be a really amazing, sexy, cool, fun thing, but it can also be very bad for you," hence why she thought it would be "the perfect title" for the album.
Kelly then teased that the album will be out "soon," and suggested that a song from the album will be coming out even sooner! As expected, this – and her entire announcement – sent her fans into an absolute frenzy in the comments section!

Kelly Clarkson Opens Up About Her And Brandon Blackstock's Divorce On The Angie Martinez IRL podcast
Kelly has been pretty open about her divorce from Brandon – with whom she shares two children, River Rose, 8, and Remington Alexander, 6 – and she once again didn't hold back when she appeared on an episode of the Angie Martinez IRL podcast, saying, "It rips you apart whenever you fall in love with someone and it doesn’t work."
"I think the thing about divorce – especially having it publicized, and people thinking they know the whole thing – the hardest part of that is, like, it wasn’t an overnight decision," the American Idol winner continued. "Anyone that’s been divorced knows. That was years in trying to make – not make it work, 'cause I never wanted to be part of something to 'make it work,' I wanted to make it beautiful. I wanted to make it awesome. I wanted to make it everything it possibly could be, and sometimes that just doesn’t happen."

The "Piece By Piece" singer also touched on how their two children are handling the divorce, saying: "I ask my kids every night when we’re snuggling and I put them to bed, 'Are you happy? And if you’re not, what could make you happier?' Especially the past two years… it kills me [but] I want them to be honest so I don’t ever say, 'Oh God, don’t tell me that,' but a lot of times it would be like, 'I’m just really sad. I wish Mommy and Daddy were in the same house.' They’re really honest about it. I’m raising that kind of individual."
Kelly then went on to say that she understands what it's like for them, as she too came from a divorced family, adding: "I think [it’s important to be] communicating with them and… not treating them like an adult, because they’re not, but not treating them like a child. They’re not small feelings. Those are huge feelings, and those are huge emotions."
