On October 16th, Clarkson also shared an exclusive glimpse of her and Jelly Roll harmonizing and refining their vocal skills together during their sound check.

"I’m excited, and then as soon as she’ll walk in, I’ll be nervous. It’ll go from straight excitement to nerves," Jelly Roll said to the crew before beginning the song.

The very first meeting between the "Son of a Sinner" singer and the "Since U Been Gone" artist took place at the Grammy Awards.

Jelly Roll admitted that he was starstruck and "fanned out" at the fact that Clarkson was familiar with his music.

During their sound check, the "Breakaway" icon explained: "["I Am Not Okay"] is so good. I’m so excited he’s allowing me to sing on his song."

Regarding Jelly Roll, the mom of two added: "I’m just a huge fan. I love authenticity, and I love real messages. I think that…really matters."

"I Am Not Okay" spearheads Jelly Roll's tenth studio album, Beautifully Broken, released on October 11th. This song, penned by Jelly Roll in collaboration with Taylor Phillips, Ashley Gorley, and Casey Brown, was brought to life under the production expertise of Zach Crowell.

The lyrics delve into emotional turmoil and mental health battles, with Jelly Roll describing sleepless nights, intrusive thoughts, fluctuating moods, and the desire to stay in bed.

In the chorus, he recognizes that many others share these struggles and offers a message of hope.

When he first announced the song on Instagram, Jelly Roll wrote that it is "for everyone going through something."

Its encouraging message, moving melody and now new edition with Clarkson continue to resonate with fans!
