Fans can’t stop talking about Kelly Clarkson and Jelly Roll’s duet on The Kelly Clarkson Show. The American Idol winner, 42, and “Need a Favor” hitmaker, 39, delivered a stunning live rendition of his new track, “I Am Not Okay” last week (and no, we’re not over it). Their compelling harmonies, exceptional vocal talents, and magnetic stage presences continue to garner widespread acclaim on social media.
Touched by their performance, many viewers are heading to Instagram to share their thoughts. After the official IG page for Clarkson’s self-titled talk show shared a video of her and Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley DeFord) singing together, fans flocked to the comments section. Some even deemed this harmonized version to be “just as good” if not “better than” the original!
Beneath the above clip, one fan wrote: “The first time I heard this song I cried because it spoke to me in my darker moments and gave me hope. Jelly and Kelly your voices together are absolute perfect!” Another added: “Please PLEASE release this as a full duet.”
Someone else commented: “damn, their voices together are pure magic” as an additional user noted: “I wish Jelly & Kelly would get this out on Spotify! It was great just as Jelly’s but Kelly on it is crazy great!” One other fan gushed: “Beautiful song, beautiful duet with two humble sweet people” as another replied: “Beautiful song, beautiful duet with two humble sweet people.”
