Kelly Clarkson was there for Kaley Cuoco in more ways than one when the Flight Attendant star appeared as a guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the episode of which will air on Thursday, April 28th.
As well as being there with open ears when the 36-year-old Big Bang Theory actress opened up about her recent divorce from her second husband, 31-year-old professional equestrian Karl Cook, Clarkson empathized with her on a personal level too, having just gone through a long and painful divorce herself!
“It’s been a rough go, man,” the 39-year-old “Stronger” singer said, while she and Cuoco were having glasses of wine poured for them before officially starting the interview. “I just wanted to say, I feel you girl,” the “Since U Been Gone” singer added, sympathizing with Cuoco following her divorce from her husband of three years, which the actress then proceeded to open up to the former American Idol winner about.
The ladies got onto the subject of divorce after the Voice coach praised the Emmy-nominated actress for her gorgeous cover shot for the latest issue of Glamour magazine, but Kaley didn’t hesitate to suggest that, regardless of how amazing Kelly thought she looked, not everything is as it seems…
"This year, I wanted to be very upfront that it wasn’t my best year. And I've been very sad," Kaley began. "I think social media is so wonderful for so many reasons, but it shows just all the good stuff, and it makes you feel kinda [expletive] when you look at someone else’s life and think they have it all."
"I just wanted to tell everyone this time that not everything is what it seems, and I struggle like everybody else," Kaley continued. "I do feel like I put on a really pretty picture, and I just wanted to be honest, without whining. There’s a fine line." Kaley most certainly is a "pretty picture" in her Glamour cover shoot and the accompanying editorial images, as well as every time we see her on the red carpet, on TV shows, and even off-duty vacation snaps. But we're glad that she has been real with Clarkson (who was later joined by Cuoco's Flight Attendant co-star, Zosia Mamet) and her viewers, to remind us that A-listers are just like the rest of us sometimes too. It just makes us love her even more!
