Kelly Clarkson revealed last year that a large part of her weight loss was staying active. She mentioned “walking in the city” often, but with freezing temperatures plaguing the Big Apple, many people are wondering what she’s doing now to keep the weight off, and the answer is…it hasn’t changed! Clarkson has switched to incline walking on a treadmill to keep her frame slim. Keep reading for more information.
At the beginning of last year, Clarkson did an interview with People about her new life: divorced, healthier than she’s ever been, and living in New York City! She explained in her People interview that moving her award-winning talk show from Los Angeles to New York instantly helped her get more exercise in, as it enabled her to get more steps in throughout the day. So simple!
“Walking in the city is quite the workout,” the former The Voice coach said. This is great to hear, as you don’t need expensive gym memberships to walk outside, which means it’s something that absolutely everyone can do! “We go walk the dogs a few times at the park,” she added, in reference to her daughter River Rose, 10, and son Remington Alexander, 8, both of whom she shares with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. “We’ll go for ice cream because my daughter will wear me down,” she continued, adding: “We’ll go make slime and we go to the museum.”
