Kelly Clarkson Is Reportedly Ready To Leave 'The Kelly Clarkson Show'
The singer-songwriter has been hosting her talk show on NBC since 2019, and her fanbase has continued to grow after a successful six seasons. She and her crew made it through the pandemic and even managed to move from taping in Los Angeles to a new studio in New York City.
At the beginning of March, the former Voice coach took a seemingly unplanned break from the show for what some sources said was a "personal matter" that didn't involve her directly. The show managed to pull together a few last-minute guest hosts to take her place over the course of several episodes, including actress Brooke Shields and Bravo TV star Andy Cohen.
Later in the month, she made a viral return to the city and set of her show, giving her audience a powerful 'Kellyoke' performance and declining to give any detailed explanations on her absence.
Following her unexpected break, Kelly hosted an exciting 1000th episode special and gave a heartfelt speech about how much the series meant to her and how her team had helped her through some "ups and downs."
While many of her viewers expected things to return to normal, that may no longer be the case, as an insider close to the Texas native recently shared that she is about ready to move on to something new and leave New York City.
An Insider Reveals That The Talk Show Is 'Grueling' For Kelly
Even though she looks extremely happy while interviewing her guests and performing for her audience, the "Since U Been Gone" vocalist allegedly finds hosting and taping the show away from her family to be a lot harder than it looks.
"The show is grueling," revealed an insider to Page Six.
"It's a whole lot of work, and I hear that Kelly would like to spend more time down South."
Kelly is a mom to two children, a 10-year-old daughter named River Rose and an 8-year-old son named Remy, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. The insider close to the singer shared that she is ready to spend more time with them since moving with them to New York City for her award-winning show in 2023.
"Kelly's number one priority is her children, and they always will be," added the source.
It's no secret that the American Idol champion has been through a lot since becoming a talk show host, as she has opened up about trying to film while getting divorced, experiencing weight loss, and juggling life as a mom on several platforms. With this recent inside information being released, it's becoming clearer that she may be ready to take her hosting duties off her plate.
