Kelly Clarkson‘s divorce from music manager Brandon Blackstock was settled back in March, (nearly two years after their split), but the singer’s ex-husband is reportedly having trouble moving on…
After initially delaying his departure from her Montana ranch residence, Us Weekly recently reported that the businessman has finally left her home. The publication also indicated that there was a court order mandating his exit by June 1. This, (according to an anonymous insider that spoke to the mag), is something that he allegedly “wanted to fight” but was “ultimately talked out of it.”

As for why Blackstock, 45, reportedly won’t let Clarkson, 40, move on with her life, the insider source allegedly added that he doesn’t believe he was accurately compensated in the divorce settlement and is “always asking for more and being a constant thorn in her side.”
Meanwhile, Blackstock is receiving $115,000 in alimony until January 2024, and is also getting $45,601 in child support for their 2 children, daughter River, 8, and son Remington, 6, although the Voice coach has primary custody. Once the American Idol winner does sell her Montana ranch, Blackstock will receive around $908,800 (since the property’s worth is about $17,750,000). During their hefty court battle, Blackstock won 5.12 percent of the land.

The former couple wed in 2013 and were together until June 2020. They first met in 2006 backstage at Clarkson’s rehearsal for the Academy of Country Music Awards and officially got engaged in December 2012. During her talk show’s 2020 season premiere, Clarkson revealed to viewers that she “didn’t see” her divorce coming.
Despite the legal and court drama, Clarkson’s career is doing swell as she just wrapped filming the first season of American Song Contest and also won an Emmy award for her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. She also released a cover EP earlier this month, Kellyoke, that garnered millions of streams and rave reviews.
