The mom of three noted that while she will always have "cake on [her] birthday" or "cookies on Christmas," she tries not to have too many "cheat" foods, and instead finds a way to still gain nutritional benefits from sweet treats as well.
"What I will indulge in is a delicious chocolate-covered almond or cashew, so I still feel like there's something healthy in there. I also have been making a chocolate chia pudding," she shared.
For breakfast, the television personality says that she whips up sliced apples, almond butter and cinnamon and for lunch, she has a "big salad of micro greens with avocado and toasted nuts on top." Sometimes, she adds "pine nuts, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, cashews, whatever I'm in the mood for."
She also expressed her love for avocado toast and praised Cafe Gitane's offering in SoHo, New York City. Throughout the day, she snacks on "handfuls of nuts, raw cashews, almonds, or pistachios.
When it comes to dinner, Ripa says she has a "smaller version of the salad" she eats for lunch, and then either prepares "mixed grilled greens or whatever [vegetables] are in season."
She'll also add a "plant protein mixed in there like a grilled or fried tofu" with tahini. Right before bed, she told the outlet that she'll always have a "giant, ginger, turmeric tea" followed by more supplements, including a CBD oil, which helps her fall asleep.
Ripa is no stranger to an epic workout selfie, often sharing snaps of herself exercising with her 3.4 million Instagram followers. She also often uploads pics of her epic figure, and takes pics at the gym with friends or her husband, Mark Consuelos.
"I work out usually after I wrap up [my talk show] for the day," Ripa said in the interview. She added: "I work out seven days a week."
Overall, Ripa's commitment to daily exercise doesn't prevent her from indulging in a delicious and nutritious dessert every now and then.
