To maintain proper social distance, the hosts are now seated at separate tables pushed together to remain 6 feet apart.
Sharing the news, Seacrest wrote on Instagram, "Back in studio with new seating charts. Shout-out to everyone working behind-the-scenes to keep us safe and healthy. See you again tomorrow!"
Besides the new seating chart, the show has also stopped inviting an in-studio audience for tapings.
During the broadcast, Ripa and Seacrest both commented on how long it had been since they had been in the studio together.
Ripa explained, "It’s gonna be a minute because we are used to shooting the show through a computer screen."
Seacrest agreed, adding, "When we started going through our computer screens at home, I got so used to it, I forgot how to do this."
The co-hosts were definitely happy to be reunited.
During the episode, Seacrest told Ripa that he had "missed [her] very much" during their time filming remotely.
Their fans were happy to see them back together too. Many flocked to the comments section of their post, excited that they were filming in studio.
One commented, "Glad to see you both back in studio. So appreciate your hard work. stay healthy and safe."
