Kelsea Ballerini has captured fans’ hearts with her infectious country music, delightful style, and super-toned figure, which has fluctuated throughout the years.
The 31-year-old “Blindsided” singer has candidly spoken about her body image issues on several occasions over the years, including how she battled with bulimia before seeking help at the age of 18. The “Mountain With A View” singer has since shared how she has embraced body positivity and self-acceptance through her different sizes, and has openly told fans what she eats and how she trains to maintain her incredible present-day figure.

In an article published last year by Women's Health, the "Peter Pan" singer delved into her newest and fifth album, Patterns, and also opened up about one of her favorite training methods. She spoke about her dedication to the Lagree Method – a demanding yet low-impact exercise that employs a Megaformer, similar to a Pilates reformer, for thorough muscle training. And judging by her super-trim and enviable appearance lately, it's clearly working wonders!

Inside Kelsea Ballerini's Health & Weight Loss Transformation With The Lagree Method
While discussing the title of her latest album, Patterns, the Grammy nominee explained to the publication how her interest in changing and redefining habits influences almost every aspect of her life, impacting not just her mental well-being but her physical condition as well.
As Ballerini's fame started to grow in her mid-20s, the "Cowboys Cry Too" artist sought out a renowned personal trainer to create a customized fitness plan. This involved four or five intense strength-training sessions each week. After five challenging years, Ballerini felt exhausted and ended her professional relationship with the trainer, although they have remained close friends.
Regarding her old routine, Ballerini said: "It almost felt like I was punishing myself to become what I thought I was supposed to be, visually, in my industry." She stated that in addition to her three-to four-times-a-week Lagree workouts, she walks her dogs regularly.

What Does Kelsea Ballerini Eat To Maintain Her Trim Physique?
Ballerini also shared with the magazine that she has learned the significance of nourishing her body correctly, be it for an intense workout, a lively performance, or everyday activities. After experiencing some discomfort, she consulted her physician and realized she was lacking in two vital elements: salt and protein.
After learning about the importance of both, Ballerini said she starts her mornings by mixing LMNT electrolyte powder into her water. Additionally, she's significantly boosted her protein consumption, eating more red meat and always having a Chomps meat stick in her bag.
"Chomps, cottage cheese, a good steak—that's my trifecta right now," she shared.

Kelsea Ballerini's Diet
Her usual day begins with scrambled eggs topped with chimichurri, a side of cottage cheese, and blueberries. The country superstar follows this with electrolyte water and then coffee—either her signature Ballerini Blend from the Original Donut Shop or a latte.
For lunch, she favors turkey sandwiches and is meticulous about their preparation. "I do layers of turkey and cheese, with sprouts and tomato," she noted. "On one side, I put a little avocado. On the other, aioli." Ballerini shared that the avocado and aioli stay separate, and she enjoys both halves of the sandwich the same.
For dinner, Ballerini opts for either pasta, salmon with zucchini, or skirt steak with asparagus. "Cooking feels meditative to me," she said. "I'll put on a podcast or the Rat Pack, and I'll just disassociate and cook. Making something with your hands, then either eating it to nourish yourself or giving it to friends, feels very grounding to me, so I've been doing that a lot more." The more you know!

Kelsea Ballerini's Diet And Exercise Routine Changes Depending On Her Tour Schedule
In an interview with Today in June 2024, she said that she adapts her diet and exercise routine based on whether she is preparing to tour, or whether she is taking time off.
"I think, depending on what season I'm in, I kind of treat the way that I operate with my body very differently," she said.
She went on to say that she eats and trains like "an athlete" when she's touring, saying: "I have to make sure I get enough protein, enough caffeine, the nights are longer. I have to make sure that I'm moving my body enough to work on my breath support for my stage show." Makes sense to us!
