Kendall Jenner Opens Up About Modeling On ‘Anything Goes’ Podcast
In a conversation with Emma Chamberlain for the August 1st episode of her Anything Goes podcast, the brunette beauty opened up about her experience as a model. Although she initially said that she was very grateful for her modeling career, she also spoke about some of the less glamorous parts of the job.
“I’m not gonna sit here and say that I’ve had the toughest journey. I think I’ve been extremely fortunate. But I also have had my own set of challenges, whether it’s [being] overworked or not getting a job that I would’ve really loved to get,” the 818 Tequila founder began, before talking about some of the downsides.
"It is very lonely," Jenner stated. "I've had really dark nights where I've been in random cities and just hysterically crying myself to sleep because I haven't been home in three months and I've been pretty much alone the entire time," she continued.
She then went on to say that she feels particularly bad when "something really crazy happens at home that I would love to be there for and I'm being told I can't be." She added: "There's been a lot of definite moments where I'm like, 'What is going on, is this all worth it?'"
Kendall Jenner Opened Up About Dealing With Anxiety In 'Vogue'
This isn't the first time the reality TV star and model has been candid with her fans. She has also been very open with them about suffering with anxiety, which she has spoken about on several occasions over the years.
Jenner touched on the topic again in an interview with Vogue for its summer 2024 issue, for which she was on the cover, and explained how she saw no reason to hide it from her fans.
"I don't see why I shouldn't be honest about it," Jenner confessed. "In my career right now I feel really stable, really hopeful. But I've had a tough two months. I haven't been myself, and my friends see it. I'm more sad than usual. I'm way more anxious than usual. So I'm not going to sit here and act like everything's perfect."
"That's life," she continued. "I'm always going to be in and out of those feelings. In past interviews, when someone's asked me about my mental state, it's always been, ‘I'm great right now, but this is what I've dealt with.' Well, right now I'm actually in it." We love her honesty!
