Khloé Kardashian got candid about her experience with a melanoma diagnosis and the subsequent removal of the cancerous tissue from her cheek in late 2022. This week, fans are commending the Kardashians star, 40, after she provided an update, revealing before and after photos that demonstrate how filler injections have actually helped to correct the indentation left by the tumor.

On October 11th, the Good American mogul told her Snapchat followers in a video: “As a result of the surgery, and the tumor my incredible doctor removed, I ended up with an indentation in the side of my face.” Kardashian further explained: “I waited nine months after surgery to get the indentation filled.”

The mom of two also noted that she waited to "make sure medically everything was safe" before pursuing injections. Kardashian also added: "my doctor gave me the go ahead." The reality star shared more pictures highlighting the noticeable reduction of the indentation in her cheek after the filler treatment.

In October 2022, Kardashian shared her frightening experience with skin cancer for the first time. In an Instagram Story post that month, she wrote: "I have seen numerous stories going around about the ever-evolving bandage on my face with some of you wondering why I’ve been wearing one for the past few weeks."

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum continued: "After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied 7 months after realizing it was not budging." She went on: "A few days later I was told I need to have an immediate operation to remove a tumor from my face."

Kardashian, known for her transparency on social media regarding her skin recovery, divulged further information about her surgery in another IG Story from September 2023. At the time, she wrote: "I am definitely not complaining because I would rather have an [indentation] than melanoma any day." She stressed the importance of being "consistent with your skin cancer checks."
