The Good American founder dished to the outlet: “I got really insecure about doing anything on my own.” The reality star went on: “There were so many negative thoughts in my head. Khloé Kardashian Reflects on Her Weight Loss Journey, Saying She’s ‘Mad’ Ozempic Didn’t Exist ’10 Years Ago’
The mom of two (who shares daughter True, 6, and son Tatum, 2, with ex Tristan Thompson) also reflected on her 2016 split from her first husband, Odom, 45. She recounted a “nightmare” ordeal she endured after attending therapy. “I remember I was going to therapy and the next thing I knew, something private I told my therapist was on a tabloid,” Kardashian recalled.
The businesswoman went on: “And I knew that my therapist disclosed this information to a tabloid because there’s no way this could have gotten out there.” However, she confessed that she has resumed attending therapy sessions. “I do go to therapy now. It’s actually Kim’s therapist. Kim was really adamant. I was like, “I’ll do this for you.” And the therapist was like, “I think you should come three days a week,”‘ she said.
Kardashian chose to prioritize her fitness routine and discontinued her therapy sessions during that period. My weight loss journey started because I was getting a divorce. I stopped going to therapy and started going to the gym," she noted. "When I was bigger, I thought I was the hottest thing in the world. I had so much more confidence. And then when I lost weight, people were like, How dare you!"
During her interview, she talked about how Ozempic has become more widely known in Hollywood and beyond. "Even if people get surgery or [get on] the Ozempic craze, I'm like, "Who cares!" As long as people feel good about themselves, who am I to judge? I think it's ridiculous, the judgment on that. I'm just mad [Ozempic] wasn't around 10 years ago."'
Kardashian divulged earlier this year how she shed 80 lbs. after giving birth to her daughter, True in 2018. She credited her pre-pregnancy lifestyle and diet alterations that enabled her to effortlessly drop the extra pounds, as she had weighed more than 200 lbs. post-partum.
On an episode of the She MD podcast back in May, Kardashian shared that her technique involved ditching all soda from her diet. Despite this confession, many fans took to social media to say they didn’t believe that she was telling the whole truth, as they were convinced that she, like many other celebs, had used controversial weight loss drug, Ozempic.
